The former mayor of a Chicago suburb said he won’t vote for Donald Trump, despite the billionaire being in office.
“I don’t believe it.
He’s a fraud,” Mayor Rahm Emanuel told ABC News.
“He’s a liar.
He doesn’t know what he’s talking about.
He’ll never stop lying.
He just lies so many times and he’ll get away with it.
It’s a joke.”
Emanuel said he will not vote for Trump because he doesn’t believe the GOP presidential nominee is fit to be president.
“I’m going to stay home.
I’ll vote for the Democrat,” Emanuel said.
Emanuel, who is running for mayor, told ABC that he voted for Hillary Clinton in 2016, and that he’s concerned that Trump is a danger to the nation.
“We need to take the steps that will make us safer.
That means a stronger police force, a stronger economy and a better economy, we need to look at all the things that work, and I’m not voting for Donald Trumps policies,” Emanuel added.
Erickson said Trump’s campaign promises “would make a hell of a lot of people very, very nervous” about his candidacy.
“If you’re going to say something that’s dangerous to the safety of the American people, you’re probably not going to win the election,” he said.
